Sunday Scrambling with Geneva.

an hour-long show, because of struggle bussing.

Geneva Chong is one of my closest friends in Jackson. In 2009, I started nannying for her four-month-old son, Bard. From there, we became family. Geneva was the one I called when I had my first abnormal pap smear. (TMI? I don’t care… you’ve been to this here blahg before, right?) I was so ashamed and was terrified that I had to have a minor surgery as the result. Geneva showed up, hugged me hard, and cried as well because she could see how upset I was. I still think about this moment often: When she picked me up from the minor surgery and I just couldn’t stop crying and she told me it was going to be okay.

Geneva and her husband Dave vetted Evan as a boyfriend, which still makes me chuckle. (they approved.) Geneva officiated our wedding. Geneva is a badass biologist, skier (the first woman to ski the Grand unroped), and friend.

Geneva came on my show last night on KHOL and the computer that records wasn’t the only one on the struggles bus. MULTIPLE times, I said things like, “I’m Rachel Stevens and I’ll be with you until 4pm.” When it was already 5pm… my show goes until 7pm. I messed up so much! (I may be doing too much in life… shhhhhh… I’m fine.) Regardless, we had a blast. Thank you so much, Geneva, for bringing your picks and your amazing spirit to the KHOL airwaves!

Making this week’s show available for free subscribers, because it’s only an hour and ten minutes long and wrought with mistakes! Thanks for still being here and loving me. I love you!!
